Based in Montgomery, Texas, Shawn Smith has installed floors across Houston and everything within 100 miles since 1996. Every job is run by an owner who has laid the material himself — not handed off to whoever was available that week. Residential installs throughout the Houston metro, and commercial crews that mobilize nationwide.

Shawn Smith started installing floors in 1996 and has run flooring companies ever since. In that time the materials have changed completely — vinyl plank barely existed when he started, and it’s now most of what goes into a Montgomery County house — but the thing that determines whether a floor lasts hasn’t changed at all. It’s still the preparation.
That’s the reason this company exists in the shape it does. Shawn runs his own crews rather than brokering the work out, because the installer who shows up is the entire product. He is on job sites, not just sales calls, and he has personally laid every material the company installs.
Most of our residential work comes from Conroe, The Woodlands, Magnolia, Spring, and the towns around Lake Conroe. On the commercial side our crews travel — high-rises, retail centers, hotels, casinos, and corporate offices around the country, where the schedule matters as much as the finish.
We’ve never advertised much. The work came from referrals and from customers on Angi, HomeAdvisor, and HAR who left reviews after the job was done. That’s a good problem to have and a bad way to grow, which is why you’re reading this.
